Description
Here's another old work (circa '85), with a bit of digital flair added (to the background) just for presentability. This is a small Motie mining ship from the classic Niven/Pournelle novel, "The Mote in God's Eye". The ship is described fairly graphically in the book, but strangely I haven't seen anyone else take a visual stab at this. As far as I recall, I don't think I ever published this anywhere, previously.
If you haven't read Mote, by all means do! [link] And with equal strength I recommend avoiding its sequel, "The Gripping Hand".

Niven and Pournelle wrote some great books together, and individually. "The Mote in God's Eye" was great, and its sequel, "The Gripping Hand" was also very good (not sure why all the hate for that book). However, there is a third book, written by Pournelle's daughter, "Outies", and I only got about a third or quarter of the way through it before giving up in total disgust and disinterest.
