Thanks. It's a bit stylized/comic-bookie, but it does lend a certain graphic "zest" to the shuttle, which would otherwise just be hanging there.

Looks very good. I like the classic style Constellation!

Similar in idea, but I really like the details on this craft better. There's more thought in it. It's a very nice model, too :)

I like it, each pair of nacelles appear to be spaced apart a bit wider. Always thought the Constellation's were a bit to cramped together...wider equals larger warp field coverage?

I think wider just means better handling in tight turns ;p

I can't say she's a favourite ship design, but in the hands of my ol' buddy. She comes alive. :D

I wasn't initially thrilled by her, but after seeing Drell-7's fine view I felt compelled to give her a go. It's a design that grows on you, I think. Lots of nifty details.

I think I had a bad conversion day with it once, but now it's been done for us. Maybe a revisit... :squee:

I played with the lensing to try and get a better sense of scale from it, so it's gratifying that you noticed!! :D

I'm very glad to see you didn't go the way of many 3d artists these days and light the registries. Just out of interest on the poser version are the nacelles lamps animated textures too?

Great pic btw would make an excellent scenario cover.

No, I don't think the nacelle caps are animated... though maybe you could make them work as such. I didn't pay a lot of attention to that.
I actually like the lit registry effect, but I rather doubt that ships would run through deep space with those lights on. But even then... well, I'm more of a TOS purist ;)

I would guess that in an era where interstellar craft are common, commercial ships would probably light their registries all the time, military craft under similar rules as are currently used. Personally, I think self-lit registries are a lot more sensible than spotlights shining out over irregular hull geometries - the registries could be a thin film of electro-fluorescent material that would only require a minute charge to light (and in the dark of space, wouldn't really need to be very bright to be visible). Of course, studio lighting and modeling technology hadn't gotten far enough in the '60s to do that, so it's 'canon,' and now it would be CGI, anyway, and a dead cinch to accomplish (and it appears they did exactly this with the Alliance ship in Serenity ;)).

Well when ya got 430 people in a tin can flyin' around on extended space journeys, ya gotta give 'em something to do so they won't be idle and inclined to mutiny or spray graffiti in the turbo lift. So I figure the Captain could just station some crew members on the hull w/ ye ole mag boots and a flashlight where they can wave it around on the hull registries as needed.
