Description
I'm gonna call this "an informed mashup", the same way, say, a Buck Rogers Starfighter flying formation with the Galactica would be. Space:1999 began life as "UFO 2" - a sequel to Anderson's 1969 live action series, but set later - on a more advanced moonbase.
With this premise it's not a huge leap to see the Hawks as filling the role of "Moonbase Interceptors". So here I have them setting up a blockade in Earth orbit for an incoming UFO contact. In true UFO plot device fashion, one UFO gets nailed, but two make it into the atmosphere... to confront Sky 1.
