My brain won't accept the fact that that shadow on top of Huron is being cast by the Archer. The Archer is so small that my brain insists that it's below Huron. It's a very unsettling effect!

You'll have to bring up your complaint with the ship's designer! ;p

Well... that's kind of harsh. I mean don't we ALL secretly want to wear bright yellow chicken suits to work and do all our correspondence in day-glo crayon?

Yes, now I remember this timeline.... Assignment Earth was a great success there, along with the Seekers and as far as I've heard Firefly now runs in its 7th Season there

Defenately has the look it was pulled from the bottom of the box. and the over all imagery is great too, very 70's scifi feel. Which begs to ask. What was up with all scifi images being so yellow and orange?

I don't think they all went that way. They were pretty varied.... though maybe you're just reacting to paper yellowing... or certain inks fading... over time?

Ahhh, the Huron! How I wasted hours of my youth trying to figure out what that thing actually looked like. Still trying to figure out the rear end....

Oh, and even when you do get the book store, politely turn down recommendations to hardback books. Especially ones with odd looking leather and locks to them. Also stay away from lucky charms made from animal feet.

If you can't, if happen to keep finding it in your pocket after picking it up like you shouldn't have - be VERY specific in what you wish for!

What, you don't have one? You're just not looking in the right place.

Or rather, you're paying too much attention. Failing not to note a quaint old shop that you've never noticed before. Always thought there was an alley or brink wall.

Just when you do notice/not notice it, make sure that its a book and not an antique or pawn shop. Turn around at once before the shopkeep notices you.

And especially if its a toy store with wall to wall Victorian era dolls, keep pretending you didn't notice the shop as if for the first time. Not only keep walking - but never - EVER! - accept a large mailed package again in your life.

Heh. Reminds me of the poor married couple living in Ankh-Morpork in "Reaper Man" by Terry Pratchett.

One day they get a lawyer's letter from the dark and forested country of Uberwald. Husband's great-great-great-great-great-grand-uncle has passed away, so he inherits the family castle.

What he doesn't get told about is his relative's status as a vampire. Or the pitchfork-wielding mob. Or the 600-odd years of outstanding back taxes.

As he puts it later: "Never trust ANYTHING that arrives in a long brown envelope!!"

I like the way you treated them to look like an old paper-back that you just found in your attic.
(I liked it with the other two too, I just wasn't in the mood for comments).
The most impressed I am by that Coffee-cup imprint :)

Unfortunately it seems in the same condition of some of my Ballantine TOS novellas. Neat mock cover though, is this a new sideline? Kick-starting authors?
