I think this is my favorite of your pictures. I've always been fascinated by flying creatures like this.
And I like motorcycles too! And the whole atmosphere is full of action and yet peaceful as well.
I just love artwork featuring the Archer-Class, possibly one of my favourite designs ever--which is why I'm basing an upcoming fanfic on one.
While that is OK from an entertainment aspect, it is not Star Trek for me. Star Trek for me are episodes (like early on in VOY), when they are inside a nebula trying to figure out what happened, or when a second Picard suddenly shows up, or a small universe gets caught in a Runabout's warp nacelle. That is what science is all about.
The colours! The light!
These flying ...creatures!
It's all so quiet and friendly!
Glad you like. I knew the colors would tickle you
If only this is how Hollywood saw it....
...for the ship.
BTW, nice TAS reference with the environment belts!
The Rama looks brilliant here - and I love the uniforms of the crew. Excellent idea about the portable shield.
You know what I always say about scenes like this about this franchise...
Wonderful - and the sun - C'est bon!
There was a storm outside while I was working on 'em
But that interjected, I rather suspected you'd be on board with this one, my friend. In looking at it I noticed that there's almost nothing the mainstream viewer would see here as Trek... but us in the know (and especially Vanguard readers) will take it in pretty quick. I maintain that the enviro belts are cool and while they may have been created by TAS-driven reasoning, I think they're better/cooler/more tech-appropriate SF. Jack McDevitt has used the same tech in his SF series to great result.
