Through the Rock Garden by RobCaswell Through the Rock Garden by RobCaswell
With elections behind us, my computer getting some overdue maintenance, and my obnoxious headcold slowly being shown the door, I'm back. This is just a quick piece to stress-test my PC. The Nebula class model is by David Metlesits, with Poser conversion by Mattymanx. I build the background image with components created by Hameed.

DAZ Studio and Photoshop.

Looking at your work really makes me miss the Original Universe. I'm not against the reboot at all, its just that I see in your work a reminder of its viability (at least from a storytelling standpoint if not a commercial one)

Thanks. I find that there's a spirit in the original that is just lacking in the reboot.

Again! A quality piece! Again dazzling to the eye! Fantastic and exceptional!

And nice to see the Nebula class do something constructive - and plaudits on giving her IMPULSE ENGINES!!

So is your computer working again as it should? Or is it still suffering from some dazines?
At least it seems to be able to render more than one potato-moon at once :D
(yes I know these are potato-asteroids but I like the other word better :) )
I think the foreground is a bit too even and brightly illuminated for that background but that model is cute ... and it has some very nice and decent engine-fxs! :)

It seems to be working better. Maybe not 100% cured (I had one crash), but certainly more well-behaved than before Dr. Deb's attentions.

*grggRRPPPPppp...*

Oops. You shouldn't mention "potato moons" before lunch!

I feel as if we have BOTH been out of touch. I've been following Hurricane Sandy through through the tropics and just got home in time for the elections. Since then, no time for artwork and only a little time for checking what others are doing. Another nice, majestic piece.

Kathy and I celebrated our 30th Halloween together with a cruise on the Disney Dream. We missed the storm, but felt the aftermath. Rough seas (really, quite a hoot) but every off-ship excursion we had planned was cancelled. Still a good time, especially when I got to hot tub with a way fox Brazilian dancer from the ship's company. But that doesn't mean I WASN'T on a mission for MI-6...

Well, it's got the same pod that the Phoenix was using, but those are modular, mission-specific packages that can be swapped out. This is the sensor pod (which the TNG team had dubbed the "AWACS" pod, back in the day). The triangular one that we see, for instance, in the first TNG movie is the weapons pod.

Glad ya like it!!! :D
